Mining department officials gave a huge shock to Addanki MLA Gottipati

Addanki MLA Gottipati Ravikumar has two granite factories at Ganapavaram near Chilakaluripet and one granite factory at Jonnathali in the Marturu Mandal.

Authorities have been inspecting the two granite quarries in the Nadendla zone of Guntur district along with these factories since the 26th of January.

The mines were inspected by a group of officials and vigilance officers from the Mining department.

Since then, the department has gradually closed the two quarries and the three factories. The officials have suspended trading permits for these factories.

Mining permits are required to bring the raw material granite into these factories, polish them, cut them to the required size, and sell them.

Mining officials, however, suspended trading permits at those two quarries and three factories. It would be a major offence by law to sell polished stone from factories without permits.
