Victory Venkatesh’s latest film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, directed by Anil Ravipudi, has become a massive blockbuster at the box office. Despite facing stiff competition from films like Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj during the Pongal season, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has outperformed them significantly.

Anil Ravipudi, in a recent interview, referred to this film as the ‘8th Wonder’ of his career, coinciding with it being his eighth directorial venture. He expressed gratitude towards the audience, stating that the houseful shows reflect their genuine interest in the movie.

The film’s success has surpassed expectations, especially for a commercial comedy-drama. Initially, it was anticipated to perform on par with Ravipudi’s previous hits like F2 and F3, but it has exceeded those benchmarks. As of the ninth day, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has grossed over ₹133.75 crore in India, with ₹128.75 crore accumulated in the first eight days and an additional ₹5 crore on the ninth day.

Ravipudi attributes this phenomenal success to a unique promotional campaign featuring Venkatesh and the ensemble cast, which generated substantial pre-release buzz. Additionally, the chart-topping songs enticed audiences to theaters to experience the musical spectacle on the big screen. These factors collectively contributed to Sankranthiki Vasthunnam becoming a monumental success.
