Ministers Get Ready! Jagan Prepared The List

The YSR Congress government has completed one year of its rule and the party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is also the Chief Minister, is trying to assess the performance of his ministers and leaders.

Sources close to the ministers said that Jagan had already prepared a list of the top 10 ministers basing on their efficiency, punctuality in holding review meetings and addressing people’s grievances. It is learnt that he is also working on the action plan on how to move ahead in the coming days.

There is talk in the political circles that if the same list of ministers can retain their positions by the end of the second year too, then they can be sure of holding their posts even after the expansion of the cabinet that would be taking place after two-and-a-half years. Jagan Mohan Reddy made it clear while taking oath as the CM that 90 per cent of present ministers would be replaced by the end of two-and-a-half years of his tenure.

In the last one year, two ministers Mopidevi Venkataramana and Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose have been shifted to the Rajya Sabha and in the coming days, new persons would be inducted in their place. In the wake of talk that a few more ministers would also be replaced, the Cabinet members have become anxious about their posts.

Political sources said that one minister from the West Godavari district is worried that he many not continue in his post for the entire five-year term despite being a senior leader. It is being said that his name is not figuring in the Top 10 list as he seems not to be of much use either to the party or the government. Moreover, there are complaints against him that he is poking his nose into the affairs of other ministries and constituencies which is leading to criticism from within the party.

The displeasure against the minister has reportedly reached the CM. There is talk that the YSRC party authorities had even warned the minister from WG district. Further, it is learnt that the CM had even promised Cabinet berth to one other party leader belonging to the same community of the minister and these indicate that this minister will lose his post definitely.

In such a situation, the anxiety among the ministers about who would be retained and who would be ousted in the next two years is increasing with each passing day.
