Minutes after assuming CM Post, Stalin signs orders to fulfil election promises!

After guiding the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) party to a landslide victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, MDK chief MK Stalin took oath as the Chief Minister at the Raj Bhavan on Friday. Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath-taking ceremony.

After assuming the Chief Minister’s Office, MK Stalin signed five orders, as mentioned in his election campaign.

Here’s the list of all five orders that Stalin signed on Friday:

1)Stalin signed the orders to provide Rs 4,000 for all those who hold the Rice ration card. The amount will be given in two installments. The first installment of Rs 2,000 will be given in May, the second installment will be given to the beneficiaries later.

2)As a big relief to the residents, the orders, reducing the Aavin milk price by Rs 3 was signed by MK Stalin on Friday, on the lines of his election manifesto.

3)Starting from Saturday, all women in the state, including working professionals and students can travel for free of cost in ordinary bus services run by the state. The scheme will put a burden of extra Rs 1,200 crore on the government.

4)In the first 100 days of the DMK government was formed, a new department will be constituted to address the complaints of the public.

5)The Chief Minister’s health insurance scheme will cover the expenses of the patients who undergo Covid-19 treatment at the private hospitals in the state. The government will reimburse the amount to the hospitals.

Along with Stalin, 33 Ministers took oath on Friday at the Raj Bhavan. The Covid-19 protocols were followed at the ceremony and less than 300 invitees attended the oath-taking ceremony.

After taking oath, Stalin and the Cabinet Ministers visited the memorial of Kalaignar, Karunanidhi at Marina Beach, and paid respects to him.
