It is well known that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is deeply spiritual and rooted in religious traditions. He never misses an opportunity to express his devotion, and today was no exception.
Modi participated in the sacred Bhagavad Gita recitation ceremony held in the temple town of Udupi, Karnataka, and his choice of attire drew special attention. He wore a distinctive cap adorned with peacock feathers, symbolically echoing the spirit of Lord Shri Krishna, who is closely associated with the peacock feather. This gesture appeared to be Modi’s subtle homage to the deity.
Speaking at the event, Modi emphasized that the Bhagavad Gita remains profoundly relevant to modern society and urged people to immerse themselves in its wisdom to rediscover purpose and clarity in life.
Later today, Modi is scheduled to attend another major spiritual event—the unveiling of the world’s tallest Prabhu Sriram statue in Goa, standing at an impressive 77 feet. It’s clear that the Prime Minister is set for an intensely spiritual and symbolic day.
