Like a shooting star that briefly lights up the night sky, Monalisa—the young woman who captivated hearts at the Kumbh Mela—is now facing an unexpected roadblock in her budding film career. Her debut film, The Diary of Manipur, is reportedly caught in turmoil, with growing uncertainty over whether it will even take off.
The project is now mired in controversy as producer Jitendra has leveled serious allegations against director Sanoj Mishra. Jitendra accused Mishra of unprofessional behavior, claiming he has a history of exploiting aspiring actresses under the pretense of offering film opportunities. “He takes girls to Mumbai with promises of roles and then behaves inappropriately. None of his films have ever been released. He is using Monalisa,” Jitendra alleged. In response, Mishra has strongly denied these claims.
Monalisa, a native of Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, shot to fame overnight for her striking eyes while selling garlands at the Maha Kumbh. However, the sudden attention became overwhelming, forcing her to leave Prayagraj as massive crowds disrupted her daily life.
With The Diary of Manipur now in jeopardy, Monalisa finds herself at a crossroads. Will she rise above the controversy and carve a place for herself in the film industry, or will this setback dim her dreams? Only time will tell if her journey in cinema will continue to shine or fade into obscurity.
