An MLA and an MP coming to blows? Normally we see supporters of politicians fighting with one another and the leaders trying to cool them off. But, here is a case where the MP and the MLA came to blows. They had to be separated by the police.
On Thursday, a new train was flagged off in Jharkhand’s Godda. Due to Covid restrictions, only a handful of people were allowed to be present at the flagging off ceremony. However, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who had advanced information about Covid restrictions, brought tickets for his supporters , while Congress MLA Pradeep Yadav came unprepared. His supporters were stopped by the security personnel. At this, an enraged Yadav began a heated argument with the MP. Both the leaders came to blows. Finally, the police stepped in to restore order.
In view of Covid, Jharkhand government has given permission only for public gatherings on account of weddings and deaths. Given these restrictions, how was the railway train flagged off in a public ceremony? Well! No official is coming forth to give a clarification.
