In a shocking incident actress and Amravati Independent MP, Navneet Kaur Rana alleged that Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant threatened her on the floor of the house.
Navneet Kaur said that MP Arvind Sawant gave her an acid attack threat and send her to jail if she speaks in Parliament against the Maharashtra government. She also complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla that she had received calls threatening to attack her with acid and letters containing the Shiv Sena party’s letterhead.
“This is not just an insult to me, it is an insult to all women in the country. The police should take stern action against Arvind Sawant.” Navneet Kaur said.
As per Navneet Kaur, Rajahmundry YSRCP MP Margani Bharat Ram was also heard Sawant’s warning statements as the former sat next to the actress-turned-politician.
However, MP Arvind Sawant denied the allegations made by Navneet Kaur. He also said that he would stand by Kaur if anyone threatened a female member.
