With standout performances in films like Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, Dhamaal, and Badlapur, the veteran actor has carved a niche for himself across multiple film industries, having appeared in over 125 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema. Now, he is set to surprise audiences with a special cameo in the highly anticipated Sunny Deol-starrer Jaat.
Sharing his experience of working on the action thriller, Murali says, “I have always admired Sunny Deol, and director Gopichand Malineni is like a younger brother to me. When he called and asked me to do a guest appearance, I didn’t hesitate. I flew to Hyderabad in the morning and was back the same night. For me, acting is about doing what makes you happy.”
Murali had previously collaborated with Gopichand Malineni in Veerasimha Reddy, where he played Shruti Haasan’s father. Jaat, backed by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, is slated for release on April 10, 2025.
Speaking about his upcoming projects, Murali says, “I’ve signed a few films, but it’s too early to discuss them. I’m just grateful for the opportunities coming my way.” Next, he will be seen in Odella 2, co-starring Tamannaah Bhatia. The film, set for release on April 17 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, will feature Murali in the intriguing role of Allah Bakshu.
