Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nadendla Bhaskar Rao, has reportedly passed away, according to recent developments shared on social media.
He had been suffering from age-related health issues for the past few months and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Despite medical care, he is said to have breathed his last a short while ago.
Nadendla Bhaskar Rao is a well-known figure in Andhra Pradesh political history, remembered for his brief but highly controversial tenure as Chief Minister in 1984. He served as CM for nearly a month after a political crisis in the then government led by N. T. Rama Rao, before being removed from power shortly thereafter.
Following his exit from active politics, he largely stayed away from the public and political spotlight.
He is also the father of Nadendla Manohar, who is currently serving as the Civil Supplies Minister in Andhra Pradesh and has also held the position of Speaker of the State Assembly.
With his passing, a significant chapter in the political history of Andhra Pradesh comes to an end.
