Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma’s Varudu Kaavalenu is releasing on October 29th (tomorrow). The film has successfully created a decent buzz in the audience ahead of the release. Varudu Kaavalenu’s team interacted with the media on Thursday and revealed some interesting details about the film.
Speaking about his association with director Lakshmi Sowjanya, Shaurya said that he met Sowjanya for the first time at the Chalo success party held in February 2018. It took us nearly four years to bring this film to the audience. It’s the second time I’m working with a lady director after Oh Baby.
Shaurya said the reason behind choosing Varudu Kaavalenu. “It’s common for many people to be asked about their marriage plans when they are in their late 20s or turn 30. When Sowjanya narrated a story about such incidents, I shortly found it and said yes. Few have addressed these issues in movies and I felt it’ll be fresh for audiences to watch it on the screen. Nearly 70-80% of the character Aakash is like my personality,” he said.
Shaurya also said his opinion on marriage and modern-day relationships. “I am not against marriage, but haven’t decided the time yet. The thing with marriages is that you can’t exactly plan it. There’s something called destiny and it’ll take us forward accordingly.”
The actor is quite confident about the film. He said that he have no doubts about the potential of the film. I was a little doubtful during the shoot, but when I saw the rushes in the editing room, I realised it was shaping up much better than I thought. After seeing the final output with the dubbing, re-recording, I am very sure about its prospects.”
While speaking about his upcoming releases, the actor said that Lakshya is due for a release in November. He is also working on a home production whose shoot is more or less complete.
