Producer Naga Vamsi, one of the busiest names in Telugu cinema, is currently gearing up for the release of his next film Mass Jathara starring Ravi Teja and directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu. The film is slated for a grand release on October 31.
Earlier this year, Vamsi bankrolled Kingdom, featuring Vijay Deverakonda under the direction of Jersey fame Gautham Tinnanuri. Despite the high expectations surrounding this combination, the film received a mixed response and was labeled by many as a box-office disappointment.
However, during Mass Jathara promotions, Naga Vamsi clarified that Kingdom was far from a failure. He revealed that the film collected over $1 million in North America from premieres and closed around $1.8 million overall. In the Nizam region, it grossed approximately ₹11 crore. Comparing its performance to Vijay Deverakonda’s Kushi and Family Star, Vamsi stated that Kingdom actually fared better than both.
Explaining the trade dynamics, he added that while some territories recovered 70–90 percent of their investment, others stayed nearly safe after GST adjustments, with only a few facing minor losses. “By trade standards, Kingdom is an above-average film,” he affirmed.
On the work front, Naga Vamsi’s lineup looks strong. After Mass Jathara on October 31, he has Funky starring Vishwak Sen in December, Alcohol with Allari Naresh around New Year, and Anaganaga Oka Raju set for a Sankranthi 2026 release.
