YSR Congress party on Saturday accused Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu of trying to manufacture dissent and manipulate public opinion by engaging paid artistes.
Senior YSRC MLA and spokesman Ambati Rambabu alleged that Naidu had been using paid artistes in the garb of farmers and supposed-to-be victims to raise false public opinion against the YSRC government headed by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“Chandrababu Naidu is using television artistes to create an opinion with mala fide intentions. With the help of his friendly media, Naidu is trying to create a hype and make an issue out of non-issue. But the people are realising his gimmicks as he had done such things during his term in office as well and the results were seen in the 2019 elections,” Ambati said.
The YSRC spokesman said Naidu had no right to make any comment on the 100-day rule of the chief minister.
“His charge sheet on the state government is a trash and a farce. He has forgotten the fact that he had not fulfilled even a single promise properly, out of the five files he had signed after assuming power in 2014,” he pointed out.
While Naidu had claimed that every unemployed youth would get a job if the TDP was voted to power in 2014, Jagan Mohan Reddy had created history by rolling out welfare measures and creating 4 lakh jobs in less than three months after assuming office, he claimed.
Now he is busy in manufacturing dissent in the Palanadu region unmindful of the fact that there were seven murders on a single day at Macherla after TDP came to power,’ he said.
Ambati took strong objection to Chandrababu Naidu trying to subvert the casteist remarks made on Tadikonda MLA Undavalli Sridevi.
