A lot is being debated about India’s business tycoon Mukesh Ambani’s meeting with AP CM YS Jagan during the weekend. Post the meeting, the CMO released a statement that Reliance Group is looking forward to make investments in AP. But the other side of the story is something else.
Reports are making rounds that Mukesh Ambani approached CM Jagan for Rajya Sabha ticket to his close aide Parimal Dhirajlal Nathwani. To this Jagan responded positively and assured Upper House ticket to Nathwani. TDP leaders criticized this meeting of Ambani with Jagan.
Countering Chandrababu’s comments, government chief whip Ambati Rambabu slammed the TDP chief. “Who said Ambani asked Rajya Sabha ticket for Nathwani. Were you under the table during the meeting,” questioned Ambati.
Further the YSRCP leader said, “Instead of appreciating Ambani’s visit and offer to make investments, why the TDP is doing a false campaign? Yes a few newspapers and media have written that Ambani had hand in YSR’s death. But nothing was proved.”
Yet the strong rumours of Ambani asked Rajya Sabha seat to his aide are not ending. We may not be surprised if Jagan refers Ambani friend to the Upper House but it should have a value for the state.
