The TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who is struggling hard to revive his party after the 2019 humiliating debacle, had drawn up a weekly programme to be on the roads for next two months.
Naidu’s new schedule starts from October 29 and ends on December 24, of course, with Saturday and Sunday, spared for his Hyderabad stay with the family.
The TDP chief, who has no house in AP, despite being its chief minister for five years, still stays in Hyderabad in the week-end and returns to AP only on week days.
His son and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh, too has no house here to stay and follows his father as the visiting politician.
The TDP chief had chalked out a tentative programme spending at least three days in every district, except Kadapa and Vizianagaram where he would stay only for two days.
Starting with Krishna, the TDP chief would be touring Chittoor, Ananthapur, West Godavari, Kadapa, Kurnool, Prakasam, Guntur and conclude his tour in Vizianagaram, before leaving for Hyderabad for Christmas celebrations.
Naidu wants to use these two months to revive his party from the village level and prepare the leaders for the impending local body elections.
The ruling YSR Congress wants to have local body elections either in December or in the last week of January, by the time it keeps the administration on track with the village secretariats functioning as desired.
With leader after leader leaving the party, Chandrababu Naidu had drawn up this districts schedule only to breath some life into the wounded party.
It is to be seen how far he would succeed in giving new life to the party which is seen on death bed and has no future.
