Naidu’s Futile Attempt In Telangana!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu appears to be a die-hard optimist. While spitting venom on Telangana every often and trying to deny due share in water and power to the new State, Naidu feels his party can still come to power in Telangana in 2019.
And he never gives up his attempt. His maiden tour to Warangal district on Thursday after the formation of Telangana State shows obviously to sustain the party in the new State shows his supreme confidence or one can say overconfidence.
Despite encountering some hurdles in the form of protests from the MRPS cadre at various points of his route from Hyderabad, the TDP president made an attempt to boost the declining morale of the party cadre in Telangana State.
His one-day visit to Warangal district, the hot-bed of agitation for separate Telangana State, was all said and done a damage-control exercise to keep his flock together by trying to pep up the morale of the cadre and also send feelers to the elected leaders that their interests would be protected in the long run. However, Naidu’s attempt would only be an exercise in futility.
The party cadre might claim his Warangal visit a success by mobilizing the crowds, but when it comes to elections, people won’t vote for his party. May be the TDP can win a few seats in some parts of Telangana, but it cannot expect to come to power in the State. At the most, it will help him to get the national party status in the coming years.
