Chandrababu developed Hyderabad as Cyberabad and Hi-tech City, now shifted focus to construct Andhra Pradesh’s new capital city Amaravathi originated in the surroundings of Vijayawada. Naidu proved his mettle by implementing his new program of green city immediately at Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada. His plan is; the new capital city should have skyline buildings on one side and full greenery on other side. In this regard, Chandrababu reminded the importance of plantation.
“It is everyone’s responsibility to plant trees as they help balancing environment. If 5 crores people plant 10 trees each, the trees count will reach to 50 crores. Planting 500 crores trees in 10 years is my vision. More importantly, temperature will be dropped off in Guntur and Vijayawada cities. Photographs of the planted persons will be attached to tress for recognition. Government has plans to spray seeds across hill area in Amaravathi through helicopters. The process will come to end by a week days,” said Babu.
Lack of rains has already done enough damage to the farmers in the state. Big question being raised is will the plants be grown in these dire conditions. We can only pray rain god to bless Navyandhra in making Amaravathi a green city!
