Naidu’s Proactive Cyclone Response Draws Contrast with Jagan’s 2019 Controversy

Andhra Pradesh has largely managed to escape the wrath of the Montha cyclone with minimal loss of life, though several districts did experience significant property damage. Thanks to swift and proactive measures led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the administration was able to contain the crisis and ensure quick relief operations.

Amidst this, TDP supporters have taken to social media to highlight the sharp contrast between Naidu’s leadership and that of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during a similar crisis in 2019.
Back then, as Cyclone Fani struck Andhra Pradesh, Jagan was spotted visiting AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad to watch Avengers. The images and videos of him casually walking into the theatre while the state faced widespread destruction drew heavy criticism.

Now, as Montha cyclone challenges the state once again, Chandrababu Naidu and his team are seen actively monitoring the situation on the ground, coordinating relief measures, and ensuring timely assistance to affected areas.

This stark difference in response has become a major talking point online, with many appreciating Naidu’s hands-on governance while recalling Jagan’s earlier indifference during a time of crisis.
