Namrata Shirodkar on the importance of inculcating reading habits among kids

During the lockdown, we have all found our escape in our hobbies. And for many celebrities like Mahesh Babu, Rashmika Mandanna, Anand Deverakonda, Pawan Kalyan, etc., reading books became an important ritual while staying cooped up at home. Recently, Namrata Shirodkar took to Instagram to share the importance of reading and how it can help kids in the long run.

Sharing a picture of her daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni engrossed in a book, the Vamsi actress wrote, “Inculcate reading in your kids!! It’s meditative and interesting #BrainFood ❣️ @sitaraghattamaneni” (sic). According to experts, reading fuels a child’s imagination and helps him/her to improve their vocabulary, comprehension skills and writing skills. In this digital age, it also helps kids stay away from spending too many hours in front of the TV or laptop screen that can cause eye problems, headaches, and fatigue.

During the lockdown, actress Namrata was busy capturing adorable moments of her family cooped up at home from daughter Sitara and Mahesh Babu spending time watching animated films or her son Gautham and Mahesh playing games. She has also been posting about the need to eat healthy and stay fit.
