Actress and social media influencer Nandini Rai recently opened up about her disappointment with her role in Vijay’s Vaarasudu. In a candid YouTube interview, she revealed that she was initially promised a meaningful cameo as Prakash Raj’s daughter—one that would play a key role in the film’s emotional conflict. However, when the film finally released, her role was reduced to a blink-and-miss appearance of barely two minutes.
What made things worse was the way her character was promoted. Posters hinted at a stronger presence, which added to her frustration when the final cut didn’t reflect that promise. Nandini called it a breach of trust and made it clear she won’t be repeating the mistake of agreeing to such roles in the future.
She also spoke about setting boundaries when it comes to choosing roles. Mentioning her bold look in Anakapalli, she admitted it made her uncomfortable, especially after seeing how her parents reacted. From now on, she’s determined to take up de-glam, performance-oriented roles, even though she admits such scripts are yet to fully come her way.
