Ever since the massive success of Dasara, actor Nani has been riding high on a wave of back-to-back hits. Known primarily as a “class” actor until then, Dasara marked a turning point in his career by establishing him as a strong force in mass roles as well. The film silenced all doubts about whether Nani could connect with mass audiences, proving he could pull off rugged, intense characters with ease.
Following that, he delivered the emotional family drama Hi Nanna, which turned out to be a classic hit, showcasing his versatility. Then came Saripodha Sanivaaram, which struck a balance between class and mass appeal, again impressing a wide range of audiences.
With these three consecutive hits, Nani had already built solid momentum. Then came his fourth consecutive success with HIT-3, where he played a fierce police officer tackling psychotic criminals. The film’s gripping narrative and Nani’s powerful performance struck a chord with mass movie lovers, earning strong box office numbers.
This makes it four back-to-back successes for Nani—a rare feat even among top-tier actors. While Nani has experienced streaks of success early in his career, he never quite reached a double hat-trick. Now, he’s just two hits away from that milestone, and current signs suggest it’s very much within reach.
Nani is currently working on Paradise with Dasara director Srikanth Odela, a film that has already generated high expectations thanks to their previous blockbuster collaboration. After Paradise, Nani’s upcoming lineup looks even more promising, with reports linking him to top directors like Sekhar Kammula, Trivikram Srinivas, and even SS Rajamouli.
If any of these high-profile collaborations materialize and succeed, Nani could very well score a double hat-trick and solidify his position as one of the most consistent and bankable stars in Telugu cinema.
