Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, participated in the India Today Conclave held last night, where he shared several interesting insights on the state’s growth and leadership. Responding to a question about the competitive edge that neighboring states like Telangana (with Hyderabad) and Karnataka (with Bengaluru) have, Lokesh made a notable statement.
He said, “Yes, Telangana has Hyderabad, and Karnataka has Bengaluru. But Andhra Pradesh has Chandrababu Naidu, and that is our competitive advantage. Chandrababu Garu is our point of difference and the key driver of investments and developments in the state.”
Lokesh further explained that under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, significant investments are being driven to Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Amaravati and Vizag. He highlighted a recent agreement for a 7 Gigawatt plant with Tata Power as an example of the progress the state is making.
Regarding the safety concerns raised by YCP leaders about Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Lokesh responded, “These questions have been asked for the past nine months, but nothing has actually happened to Jagan in this time. In fact, Jagan has more security than our deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan Garu.”
