Minister Nara Lokesh has reportedly expressed strong displeasure over the conduct of several TDP MLAs, accusing them of neglecting their responsibilities toward public welfare and constituency issues.
During a public interaction session held yesterday at the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri, thousands of people gathered to present their grievances directly to Lokesh. He spent nearly four hours patiently listening to their problems but was visibly upset with the lack of on-ground engagement from some legislators.
Lokesh questioned why so many citizens had to travel all the way to the party office if the MLAs were effectively addressing issues in their respective areas. He directed that, going forward, MLAs must regularly hold Praja Darbars both in their constituencies and at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri. He further instructed that ministers themselves should actively participate in these sessions to stay connected with public concerns.
Visibly frustrated, Lokesh didn’t hold back while calling out a few leaders by name. He reportedly reprimanded Kavali MLA Kavya Krishna Reddy for failing to visit the family of a leader who had made sacrifices for the party, calling such negligence “unacceptable.”
Lokesh also expressed disappointment over the silence of BC leaders within the party when YSRCP leaders made caste-based remarks, urging them to respond strongly to such statements.
Turning to RTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana, Lokesh questioned why senior leaders were not taking initiative on crucial matters. “Should everything be handled only by me and Chandrababu garu?” he reportedly asked, stressing the need for greater accountability and active participation from all senior party members.
