Nara Lokesh Takes a Satirical Jab at YCP’s EVM Claims

After the AP elections, the YCP ecosystem launched a controversial campaign surrounding the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) polling mechanism, casting doubt on its legitimacy. Key YCP leaders like Roja and Ambati raised concerns about the EVM system in an attempt to undermine the public mandate.

However, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) seemed largely unbothered by these claims. In a recent victory event celebrating the triumph of TDP’s MLC candidates, Nara Lokesh took a satirical dig at the YCP’s EVM narrative. Lokesh confidently remarked, “EVM Aina… Ballot Aina… Gelupu Kutami de,” dismissing the EVM controversy and emphasizing that the real victory comes from the people, regardless of the voting method. By highlighting the MLC election’s use of paper ballots, Lokesh aimed to rub the YCP’s baseless allegations in their faces.

Lokesh’s energy was further evident when he encouraged party cadres during a speech by Alapati Raja. As Raja urged the crowd to sit, Lokesh playfully asked, “Kurchomante kurchuntaama???” energizing the gathering and igniting excitement among the cadres.

Lokesh also took a jibe at YS Jagan, suggesting that the MLC election results, which returned record majorities for TDP, had left Jagan “addressless,” indirectly commenting on how the NDA government still holds the public mandate even nine months after the assembly elections. This statement highlighted the contrast between the overwhelming public support for TDP and the ongoing narratives pushed by YCP.
