Naveen Chandra’s Hunger for Success: “I’ll Keep Going

Karnataka-born actor Naveen Chandra, who gained recognition with the 2012 romantic drama Andala Rakshasi, has carved a niche for himself in Telugu cinema. His intense portrayal of Surya in Hanu Raghavapudi’s directorial debut earned him widespread appreciation. Despite experimenting with diverse roles across multiple genres—including antagonists and OTT projects—a big commercial breakthrough has remained elusive. However, Naveen remains undeterred, asserting that his hunger for acting is stronger than ever.

Now, the versatile actor is gearing up for the release of 28 Degrees C, a project close to his heart. Reflecting on the film’s journey, he shared, “I took this film up at a time when I was hungry as an actor. Every project that comes my way is a blessing—not just for me but for the entire team working behind it. Though we faced hurdles in securing a release, I never lost hope.”

Undeterred by challenges, Naveen continues to push boundaries. “I’m still as hungry as ever,” he said. “That hunger drives me to explore all kinds of roles—hero, villain, or strong supporting characters. My role in Aravinda Sametha was a turning point, and now I have exciting projects like Mass Jathara with Ravi Teja, as well as Showtime and 11. OTT has also given me immense recognition, especially with Inspector Rishi 2, which received a phenomenal response.”

With new opportunities pouring in from Tamil and Kannada industries, Naveen Chandra is embracing every challenge with determination. As he puts it, “I haven’t left anything behind. I’m still hungry… and I’ll keep going.”
