Netflix Opens New Office in Hyderabad’s HITEC City

Hyderabad continues to solidify its position as a leading destination for global business and entertainment enterprises. Over the past decade, the city has emerged as a major hub for cinema, technology, and media, supported by robust infrastructure and a highly skilled workforce.

Adding to this momentum, Netflix has taken up a 41,000 sq. ft. office space at CapitaLand ITPH Block A in HITEC City — the same building that also houses Warner Bros. This marks the streaming giant’s second office in India after Mumbai and its first significant base in Hyderabad.

The new facility is expected to focus on regional content development, post-production services, and technical operations. Netflix has been strengthening its collaborations with top South Indian filmmakers, particularly within the Telugu film industry, following the global success of franchises such as RRR and Baahubali. Establishing a dedicated base in Hyderabad is anticipated to further deepen these partnerships and boost local employment in creative and technical fields.

Hyderabad is already home to major film studios, VFX and animation companies, and advanced post-production infrastructure. Government initiatives such as IMAGE Towers are further enhancing the city’s profile as a preferred destination for digital content creation.

The arrival of Netflix comes at a time when several global corporations — including Eli Lilly, Vanguard, McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Heineken, and American Airlines — have recently expanded their presence in the region. This continued investment underscores Hyderabad’s growing prominence as one of India’s most dynamic centers for business, innovation, and entertainment.
