Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has taken a sensational decision as the coronavirus is booming at a faster rate.
On Sunday, through his official Twitter account, Rahul Gandhi announced, “I am canceling public rallies in West Bengal due to the intensification of Covid. I urge other politicians to think deeply about the dangers of holding public rallies in the current context,” he tweeted.
However, netizens heaped praises on Rahul Gandhi for his decision. While various political parties and leaders are holding large-scale election rallies at the risk of the lives of the people for their own political gain, Rahul is being hailed for his decision.
The hashtag ‘My Leader Rahul Gandhi’ is currently at the top of the Indian trend on Twitter. Netizens hailed Rahul as a leader and an educator who thinks for the betterment of the people and not for self-interest.
In view of the Covid situation, I am suspending all my public rallies in West Bengal.
I would advise all political leaders to think deeply about the consequences of holding large public rallies under the current circumstances.
