Tollywood young hero Vijay Devarakonda made sensational comments on politics speaking on the right to vote in his recent interview. His comments have drawn flak within no time on social media and soon he landed in trouble with controversial remarks. Some netizens supported Vijay while few lashed out at him.
He said, the right to vote should be abolished for some in this community and asserted that our actual political system is chaotic and meaningless. Adding further the actor said without any hesitation, the poor the rich and the alcoholics should not be given the right to vote. He opined that only the middle class should cast vote. These comments have caused a great deal of controversy in cine political circles.
Vijay cited an example about pilot of the plane saying the pilot should not be elected by all the 300 passengers on board. The bold actor commented that there was a risk that everyone might abuse their right to vote. Netizens felt that he compared an ideal dictatorship to a democracy by narrow minded approach in urging to restrict votes.
This is the second incident in the most recent times, when actors involved in political debates. Earlier Ram Pothineni was also severely trolled for his favourable comments towards AP CM YS Jagan.
