Every year with new releases we have at least 50 to 55 new actresses joining film Industry and from them may be one or two grow popular. Some attain star status with just their first film and few others grow popular with time.
2021 had to discount for 2020 pandemic and after math. Releases were lot less this year but new actresses have hit the Telugu screen this year too. Among them these are the ones who attracted us and audiences too.
Krithi Shetty
The most popular among the new actresses is Krithi Shetty. She got huge fame as Bebamma from her debut film Uppena and the actress has potential to become another Pooja Hegde as she has Bangarraju and Shyam Singha Roy with Naga Chaitanya & Nani, respectively. Her pairing with Vaishnav Tej became a highlight for the film Uppena and she has dedicated fan clubs already.
Meenakshi Choudary
Meenakshi Choudary made her debut with Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu. Even though movie did not impress audiences she has bagged offers to appear in Khiladi, Hit 2 and Salaar as well.
Shivani Rajasekhar
Shivani Rajasekhar decided to continue her father Rajasekhar and mother Jeevitha legacy as actors. Her sister Shivatmika also debuted few years ago. She acted in Adbutham film and got critical acclaim.
Faria Abdullah
Faria Abdullah hails from Hyderabad and she struggled as stage artist for few years to get noticed. She found her break with Anudeep’s Jathi Rathnalu. Her pairing with Naveen Polishetty won acclaim and her performance as “Chitti” also got good critical reviews. She will soon be seen in Bangarraju dancing for a special song with Nag and Naga Chaitanya. She has few films lined up too.
Amritha Aiyer
Amritha Aiyer has good experience in acting before she debuted in Telugu in Tamil Cinema. She appeared in her first Tamil Film, Padaiveeran, three years ago. She acted in Vijay’s Bigil too. She debuted with Red and 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela in Telugu.
Drushya Raghunath
Drushya Raghunath appeared in Shaadi Mubarak. She proved that she can act in the films and she will shine better with good roles.
Sree Leela
Most gracious dancer among the new entrants is Sree Leela. She got an opportunity to be guided by senior Director K. Raghavendra Rao in her first film, Pelli Sandadi. She did not disappoint and her pairing with Roshan Meka, Srikanth’s son set screens on fire. She is a star in the making.
Kethika Sharma
Kethika Sharma made her debut opposite Aakash Puri in Romantic. Puri Jagannath wrote screenplay for the film. Movie did not become a hit but the actress hot scenes left a mark on youngsters. She might find more opportunities in coming year.
Misha Nangar
Misha got a good role in Tellavarithe Guruvaram besides Sri Simha and impressed one and all.
Priya Prakash Varrier
Priya Prakash Varrier, the National sensation disappointed with Check and Ishq films. She looked cute and acted even cute but that did not give her enough mileage to enter into the new year with positive results. Still, she has few more film opportunities to prove herself.
