The ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic is making the Hyderabad and the TG government pay for its heights of negligence who haven’t done enough COVID-19 testing till the beginning of this month. The steep rise in the number of Coronavirus positive cases in Telangana has been a cause of worry to the government as well as common people.
It seems like the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao left it to the fate of the people and now the opposition party in the state, Indian National Congress is attacking the TRS for its indifferent attitude on this crucial issue. Everyone in the state still feel that there is a lot left for KCR to do but the attitude from the government doesn’t seem like they have control on this issue.
So, the Telangana Congress party demanded the state government to impose Health Emergency in Hyderabad and adjacent districts like Ranga Reddy and Medchal with a high number of Coronavirus cases. Former minister and ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir pointed out the rise in deaths and positive cases in the last 16 days has just doubled.
“On May 31, there were 2,792 Covid-19 positive cases in Telangana State while the death toll was 88. On June 19, the positive cases increased to 6,526 and the death toll reached 198, this is almost doubling the figures in just 19 days that explains the state of the virus transmission in Telangana,” Mohammed Ali Shabbir added.
More than 90% of the cases that are being reported in Telangana are from Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. So, will CM KCR, who is well known for his ego, even care to impose Health Emergency in Hyderabad and its adjacent districts for the greater good?
