The government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced a new industrial policy that aims at the development of industries in the state, which have been dwindling over the past one year or so.
Minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy has announced this new policy, and said that it’s been designed according to the outlook and vision that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has for the state. However, the question that now remains is if this policy will work out, or if it will turn out to be yet another disastrous policy introduced by the YSRCP government.
The government had previously introduced the new sand policy, in an attempt to reduce the smuggling of sand from the state. This policy paved the way for an even bigger sand mafia in the state, depriving the state of proper sand, as a result of which many constructions have come to an abrupt halt.
Then there’s the alcohol policy, in which the prices of alcohol were increased, which resulted in numerous deaths all over the state. Increased prices of alcohol resulted in people drinking sanitisers and other locally made, unhygienic alcohol, which led to numerous deaths.
Not to forget the plan by which Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to develop the entire state of Andhra Pradesh – the 3 Capital bill. He intends to develop the state equally, for which he has proposed the 3 Capitals. We all know what sort of issues are surrounding this bill. No one is sure what’s going to happen with this bill, and if the farmers of Amaravati will be served justice. It is also not clear if the government will actually be able to develop the state if the 3 Capital bill comes to pass.
Keeping all of these utter failures in mind, everyone, including opposition parties and the general public alike, are questioning the validity of the new industrial policy, and whether it will be an improvement or another disaster for the state.
