Siraj and Zanai Clarify Viral Photo Rumors
A recent picture of Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj with Zanai Bhosle, granddaughter of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, created a stir on social media. The photo, taken during Zanai’s 23rd birthday celebration, showed the duo laughing together, leading many fans to speculate about a possible relationship.
However, Zanai promptly addressed the rumors, calling Siraj “Mere pyaare bhai” (my dear brother) in her Instagram story. Siraj also cleared the air by reposting her story and referring to her as “behna” (sister), putting an end to the speculations.
On the cricket front, Siraj is currently not part of the Indian team. He was dropped following a subpar performance in the Test series against Australia and was not selected for the ongoing white-ball series against England or the upcoming Champions Trophy.
Former cricketer Irfan Pathan voiced concerns about India’s pace-bowling lineup for the Champions Trophy, suggesting Siraj could have been included as a backup. Pathan highlighted the risks of relying solely on Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, who are returning from injuries, and emphasized the need for a dependable reserve pacer. He also noted that playing with four spinners in Dubai’s conditions may not be practical but expressed confidence in the selected squad’s ability to perform.
