Recently, a viral post on X claimed that Jr NTR would complete his project with Prashanth Neel, while Koratala Siva wraps up his film with Nandamuri Balakrishna—after which both would reunite for Devara 2. While this sequence sounds convincing, sources close to the NTR camp indicate that such plans are not currently in motion.

Although Devara: Part 1 reportedly posted big box office numbers—projected by the makers to be close to ₹900 crore—these figures were met with skepticism in trade circles. More importantly, the film did not fully meet expectations in terms of reception. Reviews ranged from mixed to underwhelming, and audience response lacked strong unanimity. The film also became a target for trolls and memes following its release.

At present, industry buzz suggests that Jr NTR may not be particularly keen on moving forward with a sequel anytime soon. Unlike standalone films, sequels depend heavily on creative conviction and audience demand, not just box office numbers.
