Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Prof. Kodandaram said the Kiran Kumar Reddy government had foiled the planned �peaceful Chalo Assembly Rally� by resorting to illegal mass arrests and prevented the people from reaching Hyderabad from all the districts.
The TPJAC chief said they would prevent Congress leaders from visiting the villages in the region from July 4. He said the JAC has set July 4 as a deadline for the Telangana Congress leaders to take a decision to come out of the ruling party and join the movement. Otherwise, they would be prevented from setting their foot in the Telangana villages.
Prof. Kodandaram asked the Centre to realise the gravity of the situation and make a clear statement on formation of separate Telangana State even now.
