One of the most successful collaborations in Telugu cinema has been between Trivikram Srinivas and music director Thaman. Together, they have delivered numerous musical blockbusters, including Aravinda Sametha, Ala Vaikunthapurramulo, Guntur Kaaram, and more. Their partnership has consistently produced chart-topping songs and memorable background scores, which naturally led many to expect that Trivikram would continue working with Thaman for all his upcoming projects.
However, recent news of Trivikram considering new music directors quickly went viral. Reports suggested that Harshavardhan Rameshwar is being considered for Venkatesh’s upcoming film, while Anirudh Ravichander might compose for Jr NTR’s next project. This sparked widespread social media speculation about a possible rift between Trivikram and Thaman.
Industry insiders, however, clarify that there is no conflict. Known for his calm and composed nature, Trivikram does not end partnerships over minor differences. At the same time, sticking to the same collaboration repeatedly can sometimes create a sense of monotony for audiences.
To bring a fresh musical flavour to his films, Trivikram is simply exploring new composers. Choosing a young talent like Harshavardhan Rameshwar and bringing in Anirudh for NTR’s film are purely creative decisions. There is no tension or disagreement with Thaman, and if needed, both could easily collaborate with him again in the future. This move seems driven more by logical creative reasoning than anything else.
