Fans eagerly awaited an update on the much-anticipated Jr NTR–Prashanth Neel project to coincide with NTR’s birthday on May 20. However, the makers disappointed the audience by officially announcing that no new content would be released on that day.
In a statement on Twitter, the NTRNeel team addressed fans, saying, “Dear fans, we know how eager you are to celebrate the man who’s given us countless reasons to cheer. With the War2 content releasing soon, we felt it’s best to give it its moment and save the NTRNeel mass missile glimpse for later.”
Many fans have expressed their desire for at least a first look, as the film has remained under wraps since its announcement, with no promotional material shared yet. Some netizens feel the project needs more visibility to build hype ahead of its release.
The decision to hold back the teaser on NTR’s birthday was made out of respect for another highly anticipated film, War2, which stars Jr NTR in a key role and is scheduled for a worldwide release this August. War2 makers are expected to launch a video glimpse on May 20, and director Prashanth Neel chose to avoid overlapping promotional activities.
This marks the first collaboration between Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel, who gained pan-India fame through the KGF franchise. Tentatively titled Dragon, the film is currently being shot in interior Karnataka. Jr NTR joined the sets on April 22.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Dragon promises a grand cinematic spectacle blending intense action, drama, and mass appeal on a scale similar to KGF. Despite the buzz, the makers are keeping the film’s storyline tightly under wraps, adding to the anticipation.
