The success meet of Mad Square was held in Hyderabad on Friday night, and it turned out to be a star-studded celebration with none other than Jr. NTR attending as the chief guest.
Tarak kicked off his speech by warmly congratulating the film’s director, Kalyan Shankar. He lauded Kalyan’s knack for comedy, saying, “Comedy is not easy—that’s why I’m still scared to take up Adhurs 2! Making people laugh is a blessing, and Kalyan has done it not once, but twice—with Mad and now Mad Square. This is possible only because he has a pure heart.”
He then praised actor Sangeeth Shobhan, fondly recalling his late father, director Sobhan. “I’m sure Sobhan garu would be proud of both Sangeeth and his brother Santhosh,” Tarak said with emotion.
The Devara actor also appreciated Ram Nitin’s performance. “When I saw him in Mad, I felt like I was watching my younger self. He’s completely nailed it in Mad Square,” NTR remarked with a smile.
In a candid moment, NTR spoke about his brother-in-law and one of the film’s leads, Narne Nithin. “Nithin was just a kid when I got married. He used to be very shy and avoided talking to me. The first time he confidently spoke to me was when he shared his dream of becoming an actor,” NTR revealed with a chuckle. “And guess what I told him? That he won’t have my support!”
The actor also hinted at his upcoming project with Nelson and Anirudh, adding that he will be teaming up with producer Naga Vamsi soon. “From now on, I’m handing over the responsibility of handling my fans to Vamsi,” he said, playfully.
NTR didn’t forget to applaud the comic brilliance of the film’s supporting cast—Sunil, Satyam Rajesh, Vishnu Oi, Muralidhar, and others—whose contributions he said were vital to the movie’s resounding success.
Before signing off, Tarak gave fans a thrilling update: Devara 2 is confirmed and will go on floors after his project with director Prashanth Neel. He wrapped up his speech with his signature slogans—“Jai NTR” and “Jai Hari Krishna!”—sending fans into a frenzy.
