NTR’s Dragon Locks 8-Week OTT Release Window

The OTT release window continues to be a hot topic of discussion in film circles. While most South Indian films are following a 4-week window between theatrical and OTT releases, several Hindi films are still sticking to an 8-week gap. In this scenario, the makers of NTR’s upcoming film Dragon have reportedly decided to follow the latter approach.

According to reports, the team has sealed a massive OTT deal with Netflix, under the condition that the film will premiere on the platform only after eight weeks of its theatrical release. This strategic move aims to maximize the film’s theatrical run, especially across the North Indian multiplex circuit, where exhibitors have welcomed the decision.

Interestingly, NTR’s previous outing War 2 also followed an 8-week OTT release pattern. Though the film didn’t perform exceptionally well in theatres, it later found tremendous success on streaming, with audiences showering it with love post-release.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Dragon stars Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead and is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers. More updates about the film are expected to be announced soon.
