As expected, the combo of Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni has officially announced the sequel of ‘Ismart Shankar’ and the pooja ceremony commenced in Hyderabad. The pictures from the opening ceremony have been released and both Puri Jagannadh and Charmmee are seen in complete black outfits while Ram posed in between them in a checkered shirt and white cap. They look quite excited to team up again.
They claim that ‘Double Ismart’ is going to be double the mass and double the entertainment, this time. Charmme and Puri will produce the film together under ‘Puri Connects’ banner while Vishnu Reddy is the CEO. Charmme sounded the clapboard and the dashing director himself directed the first shot on hero Ram Pothineni. The hero said, “iSmart Shankar alias Double iSmart” as the first dialogue.
Puri Jagannadh penned a story that will have a much bigger span and will be made with a high budget on a large scale with top-class technical standards. Puri will be showing Ram in a massier character than iSmart Shankar. They have announced that the shooting of ‘Double iSmart’ will start on the 12th of July and it will release on 8th March 2024 on the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri. The movie will have a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
Puri is always known for his speed but many experts suggested that Puri needs to take it slow. But Puri stuck to what he knows best which is making films at a rapid pace. He needs to deliver big time as Ram showcased his belief in Puri despite ‘Liger’. The rest of the details including the cast members and key technicians will be coming out in the next few months. Hope Puri Jagannadh bounces back with a double blockbuster through ‘Double iSmart’.
