The pre-release event of OG took place at LB Stadium in Hyderabad, despite heavy rain being forecasted for the day. Unfortunately, the decision to hold it at an open-air venue proved disastrous. Fans who had gathered for the event were left drenched as the rains poured down, and several planned activities, including musical performances by Shivamani, were disrupted.
Amid the chaos, Pawan Kalyan stepped up, taking the microphone from anchor Suma to engage the fans and ensure the event proceeded as smoothly as possible. Many felt that the organizers should have opted for an indoor venue—Hyderabad offers several suitable facilities that could easily accommodate a large audience.
The event itself, designed by director Sujeeth, was well-planned and could have gone off without a hitch under better weather conditions. The decision to host an outdoor event during the rainy season, especially when heavy showers were expected, highlighted poor planning on the part of the organizers.
