Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s OG pre-release event turned out to be a mixed experience for fans. Enthusiastic supporters had gathered in huge numbers, eagerly waiting for speeches from actors and makers sharing interesting insights about PK. However, heavy rain disrupted the event, turning what was meant to be a grand celebration into chaos.
The event began on a high note, with fans chanting “OG” and cheering for their favorite star. The makers had chosen LB Stadium over Shilpakala Vedika, assuming the rain would not affect proceedings. Unfortunately, the downpour started early, halting speeches from most of the guests.
Despite the chaos, Pawan Kalyan’s entry and speech became the highlight of the event. He stunned everyone with his poses holding a katana and appeared in the film’s costume, marking the first time he attended a pre-release in full look. In his speech, Pawan praised the cast and crew, and crooning “Washi O Washi” became a memorable moment for the audience.
Apart from Pawan’s appearance, the event fell short of expectations. Director Sujeeth, who had promised a big surprise, could not deliver his speech. Similarly, most other guests and actors were unable to speak, with only Priyanka Mohan and Arjun Das getting a chance. There are speculations that the team may organize a separate press meet later.
On a positive note, Pawan Kalyan insisted on releasing the trailer, which was screened at the venue, though it was not broadcasted live. Alongside the trailer and Pawan’s speech, a partial performance by Thaman added some excitement to the otherwise disrupted event.
