Poes Garden… this was a familiar name during the Jayalalithaa era. The area used to bustle with activity and politicians of all statures flocked to this area to gain an audience with the tallest leader in the AIADMK. The Poes Garden lost its sheen and gleam ever since Puratchi Talaivi departed from the scene. Now, the area is back to its lost glory and the people are thronging the place once again. It’s all due to the political entry of Tamil Super Star Rajini Kanth.

Rajinikanth camp is busy giving final touches to the party. The core team comprising key leaders Arjun Murthy and Tamil Ravi Manian and the heads of the Rajini fan’s association is holding a series of discussions. Even Rajinikanth, who was to originally celebrate his birthday in Bengaluru, came to Chennai to be among his fans.

The party is now planning a formal launch either from Madurai or from Tiruchi. Both the places are of great cultural significance and Rajini appears to be leaning on symbolism.

In another significant decision, the core team has decided that no other image except that of Rajinikanth would be there on any publicity material. The party leadership has told the fans association not to put the names of anyone including Arjun Murthy and Manian on the posters. Only Rajini’s image would be carried on the posters of the to-be-born party, said a functionary.
