
The OTTplay Awards 2025, in association with HT City, took place in Mumbai, celebrating the achievements of actors, filmmakers, and digital personalities who have made a significant impact in the OTT space. The event honored outstanding talent, recognizing those who continue to impress audiences with their exceptional performances in the digital entertainment landscape.
Kajol, known for her versatility in Indian cinema, won the Best Actor (Female – Popular Choice) award for her compelling performance in Do Patti on Netflix. This marks her second OTTplay Award, following her Best Debut Actress win for The Trial on JioCinema. Manoj Bajpayee secured the Best Actor (Male – Popular Choice) award for his gripping portrayal in the ZEE5 crime drama Despatch, a performance that was widely praised by both critics and audiences.
The award for Best Film went to Girls Will Be Girls, which captivated viewers with its engaging narrative and powerful storytelling. Among other major honors, Panchayat 3 was named Best Web Series, while Nikhil Advani won Best Director for Freedom at Midnight. Jaideep Ahlawat was recognized with the Best Actor (Critics) award for his role in Paatal Lok 2, while Raghubir Yadav won Best Actor (Popular) for Gajraj Gajra. Aditi Rao Hydari received the Best Actress (Popular) award for her performance in Heeramandi.
