Recently, YCP MP Vijaysai Reddy responded to the Vizag Steel Plant Privatization issue. He said that his party was very clear on the issue. Speaking to the media, he recalled that in the past, Chandrababu Naidu had opposed the YSR when he wanted to privatize 56 companies. He said if the steel plant loans were converted under equity, the steel plant would be profitable in six months. He said that YCP strongly believes in this matter but the Center is not listening.
Vijaysai Reddy explained that they are making efforts for an appointment to meet Modi. He added that “Apart from this we are making all necessary efforts to prevent the privatization of Steel plant.” MP Vijaysai Reddy announced that a ‘Steel Plant Conservation agitation tour’ would be launched in the form of padayatra to safeguard the benefits of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
