Vijayawada, the proposed capital city of new Andhra Pradesh, is likely to get a Japanese-touch. A high-profile delegation from Jagapan has recently met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and proposed him that they’re keen to build a smart city between Vijayawada and Guntur. That’s not all. The Japanese delegation also wants to set up power projects- 4000 MW thermal power ini Visakhapatnam, 4000 MW thermal power in Srikakulam and 2000 MW solar power in Anantapur. 

The Japanese authorities also told Naidu that they’re keen in “sharing” agricultural technology and food processing technology and their techniques with Andhra Pradesh. The team pitched for setting up an industrial park, food park and cold-storage units. 

However, Chandrababu hasn’t assured anything to the delegation. Naidu, who will be visiting Japan in Novemeber, will take his final call soon after returning from the trip.

Andhra Pradesh CID started investigation on controversial remarks on Hudhud cyclone. On internet controversial remarks are found which said Hudhud cyclone punished people of Andhra Pradesh for defeating late CM YS.Rajasekhar Reddy’s wife YS.Vijayamma, honorary president of YSRCP, when she contested last elections in Visakhapatnam. 

Police who started their investigations found that a Visakhapatnam based astrologer posted such highly inflammatory comments. Police are taking serious view of linking natural calamity like hudhud cyclone which caused severe destruction to the politics in state. 

CID dispatched special teams to Visakhapatnam and Guntur. The team took the astrologer into their custody and are conducting inquiry.

According to grapevine, young lady IAS officer Smita Sabharwal in CM KCR’s peshi is said to be getting lot of priority than usually needed. Smita, a 2001-batch cadre IAS, is currently working as a secretary in CM peshi which itself is said to be big achievement considering her experience and service. The latest buzz is that the government of Telangana has appointed a gunman for Smita taking everyone by surprise. Usually as per protocol, only Chief Secretary will be given gunman and other secretaries, secretaries on par with CS will be shunned from having gunman. Contrary to it, government has appointed gunman soon after she made a request.

Smita shot to fame when she worked as the district collector for Medak and Karimnagar districts. She has hit the headlines during felicitation of parents of martyrs of Telangana movement on the eve of Telangana formation day. This is when she caught everyone’s attention. With the latest act, it’s once again proved that Smita is getting lot of importance from the government at the cost of public exchequer.

Power crisis in Telangana is taking serious turn and TRS Government led by KCR is struggling hard pulling his hair for some solution to solve the problem. 

The two day power holiday to industries in Telangana which being implemented last month aggravated the situation increasing the woes of the companies. 

Many Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) and big industries already withdrew proposals to set up industries.

Industries Department sent a stong distress signal to Telangana Government on power crisis expressing serious concerns. It made it clear that in this situation, they cannot convince investors to come with industries in Telangana.

YSR Congress Party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu has finally reacted on the rumours doing the rounds in web, online and social media like Facebook, Twitter. Rumours had it that “God” has “punished” Vizagites in form of Hudhud cyclone reportedly for not “electing” YS Vijayyamma. A section of people has resorted to this in social networking sites and web blogs. This instantly picked up by print media and blamed YSRCP.

Reacting on these rumours, Ambati made it clear that YSRCP has “no connection” with such propaganda and condemned such acts. “We don’t know who has done this. Be it sycophants or hard-core fans or sometimes even rivals do resort to such acts to demean us. Whatever, YS Jagan and YSR Congress condemn such propaganda. We believe that there is no connection between YS Vijayyama’s loss in election and cyclonic storm Hudhud. We urge everyone to not to take such rumours into account as they’re baseless.”
