Tanikella Bharani’s Book in British Parliament

Noted Telugu writer-actor-director Tanikella Bharani has bagged a special honour. First of its kind, a Telugu book was released in British Parliament and it was Bharani’s Telugu book Pyaasa. Tipped to be a romantic story admittedly inspired by Omar Khayyam’s Rubaiyat, Pyaasa said to have “universal appeal” and hence released in major cities of the world.
We hear that Deputy Speaker of AP Mandali Budha Prasad played pivotal role in releasing Pyaasa in British parliament. A British Parliament Meber Dan Byles along with UK Telugu Association helped Bharani to achieve this rare feat. Incidentally, Mr Dan Byles married to Telugu girl Prashanthi Reddy. Another British MP Lord Loomba also graced the do and made it successful. Meanwhile, Pyaasa was also released in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Australia. Great going Bharani, you once again made Telugus proud.
Bharani’s maiden directorial Midhunam was a stupendous success, bagged critical acclaim and awards. Bharani is planning to do his second directorial based on Bhakta Kannappa. Although comedian-turned-hero Suneel was cast as lead cast, the project was said to be on backburner at the moment.

Ministry for Tummala soon

Share
Former Minister- ex-TDP leader Tummala Nageswara Rao, who recently jumped into TRS, is expected to join KCR’s cabinet soon. Amid reports of KCR’s cabinet expansion, the one name that’s doing the rounds is Tummala. KCR said to have very good opinion on Tummala and he publicly stated that in Khammam during his inclusion into party. KCR, who is strongly toying with the idea of strengthening TRS in Khammam district, is going to put the onus on Tummala.
Given that Tummala hasn’t been elected to Assembly, KCR is likely to nominate Tummala in upcoming MLC elections. KCR is buzzed to field Tummala as TRS candidate for MLC in Nizamabad district which is reported to be a cake walk as already Nizamabad MP Kavitha has strong foot hold and of course, TRS is in ruling. Meanwhile, there are several other probables. Ex Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, who had given up his ministry during Congress regime and joined TRS much before T-state become reality, is one among probables. Another probable in the race for ministry is Jadcherla MLA Laxma Reddy.
However, there is no clue yet on when KCR is going to expand his cabinet. But the wish list is growing bigger and stronger. It needs to be seen how KCR is going to tackle this.
