‘70% Telangana employees must in every film’

Share
Force formed to protect the interests of Telangana Artists and Technicians are severely objected to film people donating funds to Hudhud Cyclone Victims but not to the people who sacrificed their lives to Telangana cause and farmers who are committing suicides in the new state. Telangana Film Protection Force is demanding the immediate division of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce in to Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce and Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce.
They are demanding that all the assets of the Film Chamber are to be given 60% to the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce as Nizam contributes major market for films. To counter this demands, AP Film Chamber of Commerce renamed itself to Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce previously but the agitators are not satisfied. TFPF also met Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao and demanded him to release a G.O. that every film made in Hyderabad should have 70% of employees belonging to Telangana itself.
The organization vowed to strive till the G.O. is passed. However the big heads of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce say there is no meaning in the demands of Chamber division and the industry will perish in both the states if divided.

Baahubali And Gannareddy Lack Originality?

Share
We are hearing from certain quarters, who are quite educated about medieval history of India, about the flaws in the looks of Baahubali and Gannareddy. This might sound quite cynical for fans of the two big stars of Tollywood, but historians say that aboriginal content for the sake of entertaining audience is killing the essence of South India’s pride and history.
Talking about Prabhas’s spine-chilling look from Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali, as the newly released poster is the most talked about, historians say that it is more a South-East Asian inspired look but not truly South Indian. As the story is about a warrior set in South India, one would expect Prabhas to look more that way. But his spiky crown, sleeveless body armor have got a touch of Korean and Japanese warrior looks. If it is South Indian, then our medieval warriors wore less armor and simple or no crown at all.
Coming to Gona Gannareddy, Allu Arjun is quite fascinating but for people with great command over English history, he is looking like another rebellion in the medieval European times. Close to the gaming character in popular ‘Assasins Creed’, Bunny resembles more of a Robin Hood style warrior but not truly a Kakatiya empire based Telugu king. As Gunasekhar says that Gannareddy character has shades of Robin Hood, maybe we have to accept that not only his character but the character-design is also having shades of that England’s historic rebel.
Probably these looks of Baahubali and Gannareddy keeping the gigantic fan bases of these heroes in mind as they don’t get thrilled until their demi-gods are shown in a never before avatar. We have to see what Rajamouli and Gunasekhar says about this criticism.

Rust Tensions For AP Industries

Share
A lot of talk has been happening about an industrial boom in Andhra Pradesh and the focus is more on cities like Vizag, Rajahmundry, Nellore etc. But here is a new tension that has gripped the enthusiasts. It is heard that setting up an industry in the coastline will make them vulnerable to the issue of rust.
The heavy machinery and other industrial equipment are prone to getting rusted and in a span of every five to six years, the entire machinery has to be changed. It is heard that the Vizag steel plant alone spends hundreds of crores for replacing the machinery every now and then.
The experts are suggesting instead of the coastline, the industrialists must look towards the Rayalaseema region where this issue is not there. Already, there is the Sri City SEZ in Chittoor district fast becoming the hot hub for industries. So, if the industries have to invest in AP they better stay away from the coastline.

Cracker Factory Blast: Death Toll Raises to 16

Share
The death toll in Kakinada Cracker Factory blast has been increased to 15 and most of them among the deceased are women. 13 women and 3 men were charred to death and seven others suffered serious burns in fire mishap at an illegal cracker factory at Vakathippa village of Kothapalli Mandal near 22 Kms from Kakinada.
Shockingly, four members of same family were burnt to death in this fire mishap. About 40 people were working in the cracker unit and most of them were daily-wage women who were paid as low as Rs 150 per day. Few reports claimed that owner of cracker unit Appa Rao was also among injured. We hear that Appa Rao had been running cracker unit for the past 20 years in village and he has applied for renewal of factory license in March but revenue officials have not given permission yet.
Although exact reasons for fire mishap are not yet known, two versions are doing the rounds. One version is that apparently a woman in the tiled crackers unit lit a stove to prepare tea and the blast followed immediately. The second version, somebody threw a lit cigarette resulting in the blast. More details are yet to be known.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh government swiftly swung into action. Collector and RDO were present at the blast spot and over-viewed helping measures. Ministers Chinnarajappa and Manikyala Rao rushed to spot. CM Chandra Babu Naidu announced a compensation of Rs 2 Lakh to the kin of dead and assured all sort of help to injured. Deputy CM Chinarajappa immediately ordered a magisterial inquiry into the matter and asked officials to shut down all “illegal” cracker factories.

Debuting Mega Hero Is A Lone Contestant

Share
Mega brother Nagababu’s son Varun Tej, the debuting mega hero, is gearing up for his first ever silver screen appearance very soon. Under talented Srikanth Addala’s direction, Varun will be seen as a lead in ‘Mukunda’, whose teaser has already set the bars high for him.
And when will this flick possible release? We heard a December release date, around which couple of other love stories like Nitin’s Chinnadaana Nee Kosam is also coming. However, this debuting mega hero is also looking at another possible option too.
Just in case, if Jr NTR missed the Sankranthi release date for Puri Jagan’s film and then Pawan-Venky’s Gopala Gopala Gopala too gets pushed to a later date, there is no big star to utilize the slot. Stars like Mahesh, Charan, Bunny and Prabhas have none of their projects that could be released for Sankranthi 2015.
So, Varun Tej’s Mukunda will be lone contestant with maximum reach and impact if it hits screens for Sankranthi.

Will AP Be Backward Forever?

Share
Post bifurcation, a lot of focus has come on Andhra Pradesh and with Chandrababu Naidu leading from the front, a lot of positivity is expected. But there is a looming threat that this state is facing which could cause some fatal consequences and push Andhra Pradesh into a backward area for a long time.
We are talking about the natural calamities. A slice of that was seen in the recent Hudhud cyclone. The point is, the long coastline of Andhra Pradesh is always susceptible to cyclones and floods. After the experience of Hudhud, it is nothing short of a rude wakeup call to the authorities to protect themselves from the ferocity of Mother Nature.
As such, Japan is quite prone to such erratic weather attacks but they have prepared themselves in the right way to counter it. Can Chandrababu bring the same kind of technology? At any given day, it is beyond human control to stop or resist Nature but if proper measures are not taken then yes, the threat for Andhra Pradesh will remain.

Star Hotels Busy In Vizag

Share
The hotel industry across many big cities in India has been going through a tough phase. With increasing number of hotels and a dip in the overall tourism industry, it has been a tight fight between the hotels. But the situation in the city of Vizag is seeing an entirely different scenario.
Reports reveal all the five star hotels in the city are running full houses in terms of their room occupancy and they are not available for the next two weeks. The reason for this is the rich and elite of the steel city who have taken up accommodation since their homes do not have power and proper water supply. The Hudhud cyclone has caused enough havoc for things to be restored in some time.
With this, many rich families have approached different hotels and have taken the rooms. So, if you are thinking about staying in places like Daspalla, Dolphin, Novotel, Green Park, Four Point Sheraton, The Park you better check the availability of rooms before going.

AP Employees furious on AP NGOs

Share
Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh created rift among government employees of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Continuous comparisons and differences by employees of AP and Telangana is worrying AP NGO leaders.
Telangana government right after the formation of new state started showering boons like benefits and bonus on its employees while AP Government is keeping mum on its employees. This is making AP Employees furious on AP NGOs.
Now AP employees are alleging that AP NGO leaders are selfish and are not working for their benefits. They say AP NGOs failed to pressurise AP Government to implement PRC act which will help the employees.

India’s 1st Neo-Noir Geopolitical Cyber Heist Thriller?

Share
What are the most known genres that you have come across as audience? Thriller, comedy, action, romance, horror, sci-fi (of course, you hardly see any films of the last category in Tollywood). But have you heard of a film which comes with the tag of being India’s first Neo-Noir Geopolitical Cyber Heist Thriller?
Well, one film is ready for reckoning. It is titled as ‘Taskara’ and is coming up with the caption mentioned in the headline. To those who are scratching their heads on this, a neo-noir movie is something which is made with a very modern essence but it has a retrospective touch of cinemas that belonged to the 40s to 60s era.
As for Geopolitical it involves international politics which are influenced by geographical reasons. Cyber heist has to do with a robbery that is done through the internet. Given all these factors, this seems to be something very unique so unless the film comes into the theatres we will know the whole mystery.

KCR’s Great Decision For Telangana

Share
After becoming the first Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao is also having some ready set of challenges. Among them, the power crisis has been crunching his government. At the same time, water for agriculture and other purposes is also the key. So, here is a great decision taken by KCR for Telangana state.
It is the interlinking and amalgamation of lakes and water bodies. This is a beautiful concept and the mission is to modernize them and fill them. KCR’s target is to fill 9000 lakes in an year which goes to show his vision towards agriculture. If that is done then they can be aligned with the lifts of Krishna and Godavari rivers and this would revive the rural agricultural regions completely.
Farmers who are banking on bores will have a new lease of life. During earlier days, rainwater was directed towards lakes. Now, river water along with rainwater can also be directed. Certain measures need to be taken and at any cost water must not be released for fishes. Arrangements must be made so that kids can learn swimming in these water bodies. We will know the value of lakes when drought occurs. If at least 50000 lakes are filled then it is indeed a great victory for KCR and the Telangana government.

TDP MLA makes another to write his exam

Share
Bode Prasad, TDP MLA from Penamaluru, Krishna district, tried cheating examiners by making another person to write his exam. The incident happened when someone else was seen writing for Bode Prasad in open inter exam.
Bode Prasad studied upto only Tenth standard. Media photographed the same at Poranki centre where the intermediate examination of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was going on.
However the person fled from the spot after noticing that media is out after him, recording his acts. Some media persons along with the college officials examined the person’s hallticket. During all this development, MLA Bode Prasad left for Singapore on official trip. It has to be seen how AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu react to these acts from one of his MLA. A cheating case has been registered against the MLA.

‘Tollywood lead by Rowdyism’

Share
Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao is known for his frank talk in various public functions and audio launches. However sometimes his comments and bold talk embarrass hosts who invited him for their programs.
Today he shocked all with his controversial comments. Speaking at the teaser launch of Naga Shourya, Avika Gor’s Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki directed by Nandyala Ravi, Dasari said Rowdyism is rampant in Tollywood. Speaking at Prasad Labs, where the function was held, he said though Gopichand’s Loukyam has been running successfully, it was removed from theatres for a big hero film. He said the big hero’s film didnot even had successful run for three days.
It is known that Dasari targeted Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan’s Govindudu Andari Vaadele directed by Krishna Vamsi. Many theatres removed Gopichand’s Loukyam to facilitate Ram Charan’s Govindudu Andari Vaadele release. Dasari said he never saw such situation in Tollywood in his lifetime earlier.
