Beware! Fraudsters in Seemandhra are on rise to cash in on the “popularity” of severe cyclonic storm Hudhud that lashed out four districts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh fortnight ago. While the natural calamity left a swathe of devastation and city like Vizag hasn’t completely recovered from it yet, a bunch of alleged fraudsters have stepped into action to cash in on its popularity and sympathy. And no their target is not common man. They have directly aimed at NGOs and trying to dupe them by luring them “money”.

One named Vasudev Reddy is said to be posing as board member of Relief Fund Committee constituted by government of Andhra Pradesh and demanding a sum of Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000. He is duping NGOs that he would transfer funds worth lakh of rupees from Relief Fund A/c to NGO’s Bank A/c within just three hours. He claims that if one NGO deposits Rs 25,000 he would transfer Rs 10 Lakh to their bank account towards “relief measures”. This is not all. Vasu himself suggests NGO to spend half of the fund amount for people, take pictures of “relief measure activities” and bribe an auditor to make a “fake” report for the money spent for people. Suspected with his claims, NGO has approached a news channel. 

This incident was unearthed through ABN news channel’s sting operation. After further investigation it was revealed that the bank account details shared by ‘fraudster’ Vasudev Reddy belongs to Kadapa. Meanwhile, police case is yet to be registered against the accused as NGO is not sure whether it comes under normal crime or a cyber crime. So, beware there are ‘fraudsters’ who are there to even cash in on Hudhud popularity.

Former Minister DK.Aruna ripped apart Telangana CM KCR’s son KCR who is also minister in his cabinet. Aruna said she doesn’t have any Andhra leanings and she is not affiliated or related to Andhra Pradesh at all. 

DK.Aruna said it is KTR who has Andhra blood flowing in his body. She said KTR got the name of late NTR who was born in Andhra Pradesh as his son is a big fan of NTR. She also said KTR even had his education in Andhra Pradesh, unlike her who was born and bought up in Telangana. She then trained her guns on CM KCR and said he calls of all party meeting to solve problems but is trying to wipe out opposition from the state. 

She said TRS Govt is not bothered even though farmers are committing suicide in CM’s own constituency. Aruna said instead of showing concern to farmers suicides, they started insulting them. She asked Government to give electricity to agriculture and stop suicides of farmers.

Now a days women are competing with men in all professions and in some they are even outdoing and outsmarting them. According to the latest Indian women are scoring another victory over their male counterparts. 

This time they emerged winners by become second in the world in smoking. In a shocking trend, female smokers rose alarmingly and is at 12.1 million, which is highest in any country except United States. In 2012, it female smoking was mere 3.2% which remained unchanged since 1980. 

However it increased while men smoking decreased from 33.8% to 23%. These results was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in the study titled “Smoking Prevalence and Cigarette Consumption in 187 countries, 1980-2012,”

Sri Lankan Cricket is rocked with sex scandal which shocked the cricket loving Emerald nation. Srilankan Cricket quickly ordered inquiry into these allegations. In a startling revelation it claimed that one should please national selectors and the team management sexually to get into Sri Lanka’s women cricket team and then even to retain their places. 

The news shocked Sri Lanka cricket and SLC immediately ordered thorough inquiry into the matter. SLC four member panel comprising of Sanath Jayasuriya, chief selector of Sri Lankan men’s national team, SLC secretary Nishantha Ranatunga, assistant secretary Hirantha Perera and SLC vice-president Mohan de Silva. They will start their inquiry on Thursday and ask women’s team management and players to submit substantial evidence.

Some of the people launched celebrations in the social networking sites about the damage caused by Hudhud Cyclone. They openly enjoyed the destruction of Hudhud Cyclone and posted some irresponsible comments saying ‘’I Love you Hudhud..Mosam chesina vari Bendu theesthunna Prakruthi…Feeling God is there” which was exactly in English read as “I love you hudhud for nature having selectively punished those who cheated – feeling God is there”.

The comments created sensation and Police took the issue very seriously and finally arrested the culprits.Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested law student Chaganti Rahul Reddy of Arundalpet in Guntur district on charges of promoting enmity.

The police who arrested Rahul reddy said his Facebook post was irresponsible and anti-people.Rahul Reddy is currently pursuing Law final year and he said to be a YSR Congress activist in guntur ditrict.Another person named Samudrala Uday Kumar also arrested on same charges on October 18 th and he was remanded to judicial custody.

As the TTDP leaders are waging a political war with the ruling party TRS, the TRS compound is wielding every measure to hit back TDP and also many who support TRS or those who disbelieve the comments made by TTDP compound have now started targeting Revant Reddy and Yerrabelli who somehow have emerged the strong fighters against TCM KCR.

Now a Telanganaite and pop singer Vijaya Kesari made outrageous comments on Revant Reddy saying he doesn’t have right to live in Telangana. She emotionally faulted the allegations leveled by Revant Reddy against KCR asking why he was simply reading the script written by Chandra Babu Naidu. 

She made very insulting remarks saying ‘If you have that much liking towards AP, go and live there nobody asks you’. She finally scolded Revant Reddy in her best way while somehow defending Telangana CM KCR.

High Court has finally frowned upon junior Doctors, who have been on strike for the past one month over some issues with the Telangana government. The court ordered them to end the strike within half an hour unless they should be ready to face dire consequences. It also said it would start the trial after the end of their strike. 

However, junior doctors ignored the statement of the court saying they were staging their protest with lawful reasons and never withdraw from doing so. They said if necessary they would approach the Supreme Court for justice. They are staging their protest at Indhira Park demanding the justice while some leaders have also started proclaiming their support for the junior doctors.

Ex minister and Sanath Nagar TDP MLA Talasani Srinivasa Yadav has claimed that he has been slighted in TDP. He has also announced that he will now quit TDP and join TRS. And if Chandra Babu will try to intimidate him in future, Talasani warned that he will reveal many things about the Andhra Pradesh CM just like in a daily serial. 

Though he has been dilly-dallying for quite some time and after holding many meetings, Talasani has finally decided to jump into TRS and he has made these instigating comments on the occasion. It appears as if all those who want to quit the party suddenly remember how they have been insulted in the past. While it’s Talasani in TDP, YSRCP leader Konatala also made similar accusations against YSRCP. Wonder what was the insult that Talasani had to put up with?

If there was one name that was synonymous with BJP in the south, then it was Venkaiah Naidu till recently. Especially, in Andhra, he was the sole tree in the otherwise sparsely full party. But all that has changed now and that too without any special efforts from Venkaiah Naidu. The centre has given him a ministry and got him busy to look after his portfolio. Once in a while, he has been flying into Vizag. Barring that, he hasn’t had much to do as far as the party affairs are concerned. 

Though he managed to pull in Purandareswari long ago, Venkaiah could not get her a job. And now, the party high command has started to overlook the party affairs by sidelining him. While Muralidhar Rao is handling the matters in Telangana BJP, the Andhra affairs are being looked after by Ram Madhav. After being a minister for 14 years and aspiring for the CM’s post, Kanna Lakshminarayana jumped into BJP. But Venkaiah who has been pivotal to the party’s existence in united Andhra Pradesh has been sidetracked rather smoothly. In fact, Kanna has well-known and long-existing rivalry with Rayapati Sambasiva Rao. 

So, Venkaiah wouldn’t have worked against Rayapati. The only way Kanna could have made his way into the party is through Ram Madhav. Incidentally, others who got into BJP also made their entry through Ram Madhav and Venkaiah has been nowhere in the picture. Talk is that not just Kanna, but many more Kapu Congress leaders are trying to get into the party through Ram Madhav and via Amit Shah. Well, this might happen now or it may take another two to three years. But BJP is the destination for many erstwhile Congress members, it is being said. 

Apparently, Venkaiah is not very happy with the changing scenario according to talk in political circles. It is being said that Venkaiah’s plan was to rope in people like Khambhampati Haribabu, Purandareswari, Kavuri and other Kamma leaders into BJP and transform the party into yet another Kamma party in Andhra. In fact, when BJP was in power at the Centre in the past, efforts were made in this direction. But that did not work out at the time. Now, Modi is going strong and BJP has managed a strong foothold. 

So, once again, he has started making efforts in this direction. If the plan worked the way he planned, then both the major parties would be in the hands of Kamma community and they would have continued in power for many, many years to come. Meanwhile, BJP has retained the support of Pawan Kalyan and has started attracting leaders of the Kapu community into the party. It is being said that many Kapu leaders are now in talks with the national leaders in BJP. If this strategy works, then Venkaiah’s plans will go kaput.
