Tamilnadu former Chief Minaiter Amma Jayalalitha gets a big relief.The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to former Tamil Nadu chief minister, Jayalalithaa, who has been in a Bangalore jail for last three weeks following her conviction in corruption case. J. Jayalalithaa, currently lodged in Bangalore jail following her conviction in a disproportionate assets case, Thursday moved the Supreme Court seeking bail on several grounds including her ill health.

After hearing the plea filed by Jaya lawyers court has granted the bail and imposed several restrictions. Earlier, senior criminal lawyer Ram Jethmalani, who appeared before the bench on behalf of 66-year-old Jayalalithaa in the case, sought interim relief to her, as the sentence (four years of jail term) was less than 10 years and hence she was entitled for immediate bail. Its known that Jayalalithaa, along with her aide Sasikala Natrajan, V.K. Sudhakaran and J. Ilavarasi, were refused bail by the Karnataka High Court which held that there were no grounds for granting bail.Jayalalithaa alone moved the apex court for the grant of bail.

The other three would be filing their appeals in a day or two. Its worth to mention that a special court here Saturday convicted Jayalalithaa in the Rs.66-crore disproportionate assets’ case and sentenced her to four years simple imprisonment, with a fine of Rs.100 crore under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Prevention of Corruption Act. Jayalalithaa has got the bail after spending 21 days in a Bangalore jail. Many party workers started celebrating the news and came to roads to extend their support to Amma.

KCR is in thought of expansion of its cabinet anytime before or after Diwali. Mahabubnagar and Khammam districts have no representation in Telangana Cabinet. There are many aspirants are in queue to get ministry in TRS Cabinet. As per the sources, KCR don’t give chance to all except Koppula Easwar (Karimnagar), Jupalli Krishna Rao (Mahabubnagar) and Tummala Nageswara Rao. 

Reportedly, KCR seeks to change the portfolio of some ministers in the Cabinet. Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy is likely to be dropped from the ministry because of his ill-health. Nayani himself requested KCR to relive him from the responsibilities. Senior TDP leader Tummala Nageswara Rao from Khammam joined in TRS will likely to get Home Ministry. 

Nayani is suffering with illness since last few days. That forces KCR to look after another alternative. Tummala Nageswara Rao was lost the election in 2014 general elections. KCR should provide MLC ticket to Tummala within 6 months after taking Tummala into Cabinet. KCR will also convince lone TRS MLA from Khammam Jalagam Venkata Rao before Tummala becomes Minister for Telangana.

The farmers in Telangana region are now a distressed lot. Trapped with insurmountable debts, nearly 250 of them have reportedly ended their lives over last four months. On an average, there are reports that at least two farmers are committing suicide a day in the state in the Kharif season. 

As a matter of fact, nearly 40 farmer suicides were seen in Medak district after TRS assumed power, and 18 of them were recorded in chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s home assembly constituency of Gajwel. Warangal has now got dubious distinction of highest such deaths with around 54 suicides recorded so far in the past four months. 

According to a GO that was issued in 2004, currently still in force, the government should provide immediate financial and rehabilitation for families of farmers who have committed suicide irrespective of the reasons for that act. But this hasn’t happened at all, and the irony is there no one to even offer condolences from the government or officials. Opposition parties are asking TRS as to how United AP is responsible for TRS inaction in at least ensuring compensation for farmers in last four months!

The city of Vishakapatnam aka Vizag is considered the most potential among the many cities of India. If planned properly, it has the ability to become another Mumbai. At least this was the vision of its CM Chandrababu Naidu till sometime back. But now, one incident has changed the whole scenario. 

Some of the experts are saying the power scenario in Vizag currently is same as it was in 1960. Apparently, the entire power infrastructure which was built over 50 years is wiped out with the recent cyclone Hudhud. Many Vizagiites have gone back literally to the age of radios and lack of mobile phones. 

There is a need to build every distribution line, rebuild 50% of the substation infrastructure. Restore all high voltage lines and substations. The common comment coming from many is, if CBN succeeds in bring back power before Diwali, the people of Vizag can erect a 100 feet statue in his honour. But that would take a superhuman performance from all the engineers. However, the electrical engineers are opining a timeframe of 8 to 10 days is considered since CBN is there otherwise it would have taken months. We have to see what miracle happens.

AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu is leaving no stone unturned to restore normalcy in Hudhud affected coastal districts especially Visakhapatnam. He asked philanthropists, corporates to come forward generously and participate in the relief activities. 

CM asked telecom operators to restore mobile services on emergency services. Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry called Chandra Babu and offered to send 4000 technically well equipped employees to restore network and other communication facilities in the flood affected region. 

He said if Chandra Babu needs them they are available at his service. He said if all equipments are provided they will restore facilities on war basis. Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murthy also called Chandra babu personally and offered help if he allots affected areas to them.

Whenever someone praises Prime Minister Narendra Modi for whatever he is doing, his detractors and especially political opponents have washed it off stating it is just a wave which will fade away soon. But the way things are progressing it doesn’t look like a wave but a tsunami that is going to leave a lasting impact on this nation. 

While Modi ensured that Congress was wiped out in all possible states, their last fort is also being captured now. The exit poll results for both Maharashtra and Haryana are out from different media houses and all of them are pointing towards one result, BJP looks set to form the government in both states. 

Yet again, the Modi effect was clearly seen and true to that, the PM took part in a mind boggling 27 rallies and meetings throughout Maharashtra. If this wave persists and Modi continues to deliver excellence in administration, this is sure to give a bright future to us. Let us hope for the best.
