AR Muragadoss and Vijay teamed up for Kaththi and this film is minting money at the Tamil box-office. Though the film opened up with mixed response, Vijay’s star power did the magic at the ticket-window and this film was able to collect close to 24 crores (gross) on day one. 

Now, we have heard from a source close to the Mega camp that Ram Charan has expressed his interest to work with Murugadoss. This ‘Gajini’ director worked with Megastar Chiranjeevi in the past for ‘Stalin’ and that film ended up as an average grosser at the box-office. 

Popular Telugu producer ‘Tagore’ Madhu has a very close connection with both Ram Charan and Murugadoss and he is likely to work out this combination. Meanwhile, Charan has planned for a long vacation along with his wife as he doesn’t have any commitments at least for a month or two. More details about this crazy project will out very soon.

A fight broke out on Friday morning at Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce when a group of supporters of producer Ramakrishna Goud tried to barge into Chamber. Producer Ramakrishna has been sitting on an indefinite hunger strike for the past six days in front of Chamber demanding for the abolition of theatre lease system in film distribution as it’s dampening the prospects of “small-budget” films.

When no producers, chamber members take up the matter and as the health of producer Ramakrishna deteriorating, the protest of his supporters took violent turn resulting in a tussle between two groups. With no time, the information has reached to police and they rushed to spot. The protesters have been taken into police custody. In the incident, the glasses of Film Chamber were said to be damaged. 

Close on the heels of ace director Dasari Narayana Rao’s statement that “Rowdyism” is leading Tollywood business, the incident once again highlighted the plight of small-budget producers. It’s time for Telangana government to sit, take a notice of it and seriously act against it.

Vishnu Manchu is reportedly doing a 30-minute cameo in his upcoming film Erra Bus, divulge unit sources. After an experimental film Anukshanam, Vishnu now doing a cameo has set tongues wagging in tinsel ville. Already the shooting has been wrapped up and the film is said to have shaped up well. 

Billed to be an out-and-out entertainer, the film is the remake of Tamil hit Manjapai. While Vishnu will be reprising the role of actor Vimal in the Original, ace director Dasari is stepping into the shoes of Raj Kiran. Both Dasari and Vishnu will be seen as grandfather and grandson in the film. The already released movie stills garnered good buzz to the film.

Touted to be his 151th film, Dasari himself is producing the venture. After three-long-years ( Parama Veera Chakra in 2011 was Dasari’s last directorial venture), Dasari is back to wield the megaphone. This time, he also donned the greasepaint. Catherine Tresa, of Iddarammayilatho fame, is playing Vishnu’s romantic interest in the film. The movie is expected to release in the second week of November.
